Recent advances include post‑training alignment methods, reinforcement learning with human feedback, synthetic data generation, and retrieval‑augmented generation systems that ground outputs in external knowledge bases. Emerging AI agents can execute tasks across applications, draft communications, analyze documents, summarize meetings, and interact with software environments. While these systems remain probabilistic rather than conscious, their capability level has crossed into domains previously considered uniquely human.

How are people already encountering this technology?

AI magnifies human capacity to classify and generate information, but it does not generate wisdom. Wisdom in Scripture is relational, moral, and covenantal.

Risks include bias amplification, misinformation generation, hallucinated outputs, data privacy breaches, and over‑reliance on automated decision systems.
