James speaking at InterVarsity Urbana 25 in Phoenix

A Letter from our CEO

Can I tell you a secret? As each day goes by, I am shocked God lets me just be a part of this global movement, let alone help shepherd it. By God’s grace, 2025 was another year I pause and look back and thank the Lord I get to be a part of it.

2025 was a year marked by depth in our leadership, growth in nearly every metric we track, and most importantly, a deeper commitment to pointing everything back to Jesus.

In 2025, we held 196 events across 50 cities and 22 countries. We had 768 people build 96 products, 30 of which are in real-world use. We started 6 new city chapters: Chennai, Dubai, Istanbul, Lisbon, London, and Melbourne. We officially have more cities outside North America than inside. This truly is a global movement.

Add to this some unique events such as our City Leadership Summit in Hawaii with 50 of our City Leads; hosting 60 builders from across Middle East and North Africa, creating 6 products in Dubai for our FaithTech MENA Summit; hosting leaders from Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon for our Big Tech Leaders Retreat in California to workshop, train, and set vision for 2026; or piloting our Create program in 4 cities across the world as a 12-week in-depth experience. Praise the Lord.

Yet if I’m honest, what actually fires me up the most is what sits underneath all of this. The quality of leaders, rooted in humility, authentic faith, and a knowledge of this digital cultural moment, is breathtaking. Sure, it's a talented bunch, but it's HOW we lead that marks a generation.

I am convinced that the Lord is establishing FaithTech for the long-haul, and we are building the organization with that assumption. May these stories and statistics be but a start to what God is preparing for our global tech community for Christ.

Thanks for being on this journey with us!

Transition from Labs to Create

2025 was a key year in making the shift from "Labs" to the "Create Program" at FaithTech. We took this opportunity to go deep into our Playbook Redemptive Design framework, training, and piloting the Create Program through a number of events through the year in Asia, MENA, and across the US.

We introduced tech builders to the 4D cycle where we Discover, Discern, Develop and Demonstrate for the redemptive impact of advancing the kingdom of God.

This move from a more experimental, unstructured program to an intentional, outcomes-focused program has allowed us to focus deeply on the transformation of builders, as they build redemptively, bringing transformational products into the world. We believe this will help our community to participate in a Jesus revival in and through technology.

Born at a young age, David grew up and got taller. Eventually he found a girl named Kara. One thing led to another, and suddenly they are outnumbered with three children and two dogs. David has always been an early adopter, even adopting a mediocre sense of humour at one point. He loves to create order out of chaos, mostly because his kids give him so much practice. Sorry for making you read this.
